we've got 3 kids (excitable, LOUD kids -- probably not the best
combination for "sneaky" letterboxing!!) ...
I've carved a "family" signature stamp -- it's 3 balloons, and in
each balloon is one letter--the first initial of each of my
children... I use a kaleidacolor inkpad, so it gives it a neat look
when we stamp in..
i do have a personal signature stamp, if i ever go ALONE, I'll use
that... but my husband doesn't like it, and we'll probably always go
boxing as a family. :)
our kids are 8, 3 (almost 4), and just turned 2... we've tried to
stick to easy, short trails that all our kids can walk to... once
we've had to carry our youngest on our shoulders, as a stroller
wouldn't have worked, and we don't have a backpack for her. she's
probably too big for one anyway. ;)
bema, where are the kid-friendly boxes you've planted?
we're in michigan, and there are quite a few boxes around, but while
reading the clues, i've come to the conclusion some of them might be
a little difficult to take the kids on.

Hi Jen! BeMa boxes are in Northern VA. We always look for boxes that are a
mile or less (hopefully a circuit [ooooh The Shaggy nightmare is coming on
again!...]) A playground nearby makes for excellent bribery material and a
Baskin Robbins (or Milwaukee Frozen Custard -- we're easy) within easy
driving distance (ok -- so that part is for me -- but, you know, a Mom is
the soul of her family, or is that the stomach or the garbage disposal?!
One of those things...
Send out an email to the boxers in Michigan asking for their advice on
family friendly boxes. I'll bet you'll get some great advice!
Have fun in Michigan! Maybe we can visit there one day soon. Da keeps
telling me tales of his days in Bus. school there and this fantastic
restaurant run by the family of friends of his (back to food -- how DOES
that happen?) BeMa
